Just for once.

And she had laid her soul bare,

To an infinite universe that beckoned her name in the darkness

And one stood tall to reach down to her hand and guide it to solid ground.

For the morning seemed so far away

When hope had seized to exist

One stranger in their own contempt

Rescued her from the waters that were of her own demise

One soldier stood firm

And brough light into the mist.

Amongst the chaos

Of cruel intent

Of lies and accusations

Of seizeless fire that beckoned  to consume her

One stood firm

For hope

That tomorrow may not be assured

But the notion of darkness had

Brought a glimpse of light,  in faith

For today.
